Sea, Salts and Sail - 2018
This weekend will see the Sea, Salts and Sail Festival taking place in Mousehole. http://www.seasalts.co.uk/
This event is a bi-annual celebration of all things Cornish, which will include classic boats, live music, singing, food aplenty and lots of fun and frivolities.
We, like many classic sailing groups will be attending and showing our support for this excellent charitable event. The organisers are hoping that up to forty traditional boats will be attending over the course of the weekend.
Skipper John T is our coordinator for the weekend and also the main Skipper for Happy Return over this period.
We would like to have a good turnout for the festival in supporting this excellent event. Happy Return will be moving from Penzance to Mousehole on Friday afternoon, which will include a good sail in the bay. Muster at 2:30pm for a 3pm departure on the North arm, finishing up in Mousehole at about 5:30pm.
The organisers are planning to hold two sailing events each day over the weekend. Due to the time of low water, all the boats will move out of the harbour each morning and return in the late afternoon.
Penzance Sea Cadets and Mousehole Rowing Club will operate a water taxi system to and from the boats which will be anchored off.
Crew are needed for all sailing events, so please contact John T by phone or use the email link if you are interested or if you have any questions.
This will be a great weekend, so please show your support and come along.
Watch this space later in the week with some more information.
See you soon.
